Dr Licina is a fully accredited Fellow of the College of Anaesthetists of Australia and New Zealand, having completed her training in anaesthesia on the training programme in Perth, WA. Her fellowship education consisted of a specialised fellowship in a trauma hospital and six months spent in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. At the end of her training, she completed additional six months in Obstetric Anaesthesia.
Her other interests include Ultrasound, where she obtained the Ultrasound Diploma through University of Melbourne in 2010 (PGDipCU). Additional qualifications, which have broadened her interests around the specialty include Masters of Clinical Research Medicine through Monash University completed in 2015.
Dr Licina is currently a Visiting Anaesthetist at Austin Health and Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital where she teaches the registrars and participates in CPD as well as a consultant on call rosters. She holds multiple appointments and credentialing rights in private hospitals including St Vincents Private Hospital, Epworth Richmond, Warringal Hospital and Melbourne Private Hospital. She also works at Wyndham Private Surgery Day Centre, where she maintains her skills in anaesthesia for day surgery.
Her interests and skills include anaesthesia for ENT and Neurosurgery. She is particularly interested in Emergency Anaesthesia for various subspecialties and participates in Emergency Rosters in different hospitals. She also spent 4 years in public hospital broadening her interests in Obstetric Anaesthesia and take an active interest in the subspecialty. Her current practice at the Eye and Ear hospital includes regular lists for Vitreo-retinal Surgery and ophthalmic malignancies. She is proficient in regional ophthalmic anaesthesia.
Dr Licina actively engages in and meets compliance criteria for ANZCA Continuing Professional Development Programme. She is a member of the Difficult Airway and Obstetric Special Interest Groups.
