Dr Nicholas Chrimes

Dr Nicholas Chrimes completed his medical degree at Monash University, before training at the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre in order to specialise in anaesthesia.

In addition to his work in the private hospital system, he has a public appointment at Monash Medical Centre. He anaesthetises for a wide range of procedures in both adults and children and has particular interests in anaesthesia for neurosurgery, ENT surgery, obesity surgery and obstetrics.

Nicholas has a strong involvement in medical education through both Monash Medical Centre and the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He oversees the development and delivery of educational programs which train a wide range of doctors from around Australia, including other anaesthetists, to manage medical emergencies.

Nicholas is an active participant in the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists’ Continuing Professional Development Program and is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
